Projects.....past & present
One of my favorite things when I do a project is to go and get the opportunity to play with the kids and get to know them. The thing about kids is we don't care if we speak the same language, we just like to play and have fun.
This was my first out of the country project and it was awesome. I took school supplies, english/spanish books, personal hygien products, cloths and used gameboys to the kids. It was awesome and they loved the gameboys. I hope one day I can go back and see them again.

I made it.....280 miles I walked from Tampa to Tallahassee. It was a long walk but well worth it. Because of the walk we raised $25,000 in supplies and donations. With that we were able to feed 1000 familes a Holiday meal, 350 kids were provided with gift bags, new books, school supplies, and a Holiday gift. Once again I got to have the best Christmas ever because of this walk and what it allowed us to do!
I will be walking again this Fall 2008 from Tallahassee to Atlanta.
April 20-21. 2007
We are getting ready to start working on our 4th 24 hour event to bring awareness to homeless and street kids. Last year we had about 40 to 50 kids and we hope to have about that many again this year. We will spend 24 hours simulating being homeless. It doesn't come close to what real homeless kids go through but I hope in some small way it is helping.
2006 and 2007
We did a holiday party for 2 years for the kids in Louisiana that were living in FEMA trailer parks. All to gether we were able to help 1500 families. All the kids got a toys and gift bag each year thanks to the help of my communnity and Build A Bear. Each family also recieved a Holiday ham thanks to Smithfield Hams. The parks are closed now but the kids are still there. Please don't forget them, I know I never will.
