My House to the White House

In November of 2007 I walked from Tampa to Tallahassee in order to raise awareness to homeless youth. The reason I choose to walk is it is something I can do that draws a lot of attention to the 1.3 million homeless kids in the USA. It something that people can actually see ME doing and know that I am doing it. That I care about making change and am willing to put my feet where my mouth is. (or atleast I think that is how the saying goes) October 17th thru November 17 2008 I walked from Tallahassee to Atlanta continueing my goal of walking to DC. Although I did not raise as much money, I think I raised a lot more awareness to the plight of homeless youth in this country. I spoke at a lot of schools, clubs, churches and other organizations along the way. People are always shocked to know there is such a problem with homeless youth. Summer of 2009 I completed the My House to the White House walk. It was a huge success, more than I could have ever dreamed for. It took all of us working together to make it a success. Thanks to all the new friends I made a long the way. A special thanks to all the kids that I spent time with at the Sasha Bruce program. It was for you and kids like you that I walk.

COast to Coast

Starting in May 2010 I will complete my coast to coast journey. You can help. We are looking for kids, adults, groups, clubs whomever to walk 10 mile or more segmants of this walk. Together we can raise even more awareness to the homeless youth in this country. I will also be offering small grants to several clubs, organizations, or iundividuals with projects to help their communities along my route.
